Edgar Landry, 68, died Sunday night at the Dr. Georges Dumont Hospital after a lengthy illness.

Born at Pré-d'en-Haut, he was a son of the late John and Suzanne (LeBlanc) Landry. He was employed the past six years with the New Brunswick Liquor Commission, Elmwood Drive outlet, and had been previously employed with the Reed Co. wholesale outlet in Moncton. He was a member of the Pré-d'en-Haut Golden Age Club.

Married three times, his first wife was the former Célina Gautreau who died in 1940, and his second wife, the former Lina Bourgeois, who died in 1969.

He is survived by his third wife, the former Lorette Léger; three daughters, Mrs. Leo-Paul LeBlanc (Rosanne), Mrs. Ronald LeBlanc (Laudia) and Mrs. Francis Bourque (Marie), all of St. Anselme; three sons, Alfred of St. André, Zoël and Donald Landry, both of Moncton; a brother, Joseph Landry of Pré-d'en-Haut; two step-sons, Bernard Léger of Toronto and Michel Léger of Memramcook West; 21 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren. A step-son, Paul-Eugène, died in 1990. A sister, Eva, also died previously.
